Tania’s Blog: Virus Alert: Michael Jackson Virus
Cybercriminals are now picking news events to spread virus. This time they have picked the news of death of King of Pop, Micheal Jackson. They are tempting the fans of Michael Jackson by sending emails (containing virus) with subject “Remembering Michael Jackson” / “last work of Michael Jackson” / “Secret videos of Micheal Jackson” etc etc. Why not a user will open such email having the memories of his favorite celebrity.
This email is coming from email id sarah@michaeljackson.com containing attachment (”Michael songs and pictures.zip” has secret songs and photos) and can be come from your contacts. The reason is that once a computer will be infected with this virus, It will automatically send emails to all contacts of that user and will ultimately infect the computers of his contacts.
So people don’t open this email should delete it immediately to save themselves the embarrassment of infecting their email contacts.
